After last year's cancellation of the NeuroForge Christmas party due to the pandemic, we were thrilled to finally be able to celebrate in person this year.
Instead of focusing on digital topics like artificial intelligence or Big Data, we decided to dedicate our Christmas party to non-technical themes, specifically craftsmanship!
The evening kicked off with a cooking class by Sana e Salva in Eckersdorf. The theme of the class was a vegan three-course menu featuring a variety of festive and delicious dishes.
At the beginning of the evening, we enjoyed a warm and creamy black salsify soup. The soup was prepared with fresh black salsify, a root vegetable known for its earthy and slightly sweet flavor. It was served with edamame, apples, and nuts, adding a wonderful crunch to the dish.
Next came the main course, a hearty and spicy lentil curry. The curry was prepared with a blend of aromatic spices and served on a bed of creamy lentils and oven-roasted cauliflower.
For dessert, we enjoyed a classic apple strudel. The strudel consisted of thinly sliced apples with cinnamon and walnuts, wrapped in a buttery soft pastry. It was served warm and garnished with powdered sugar.
After the cooking class, the evening concluded with a cozy get-together at Liebesbier, a local brewery known for its craft beers and cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed a few rounds of drinks and had a lot of fun chatting and exchanging with our colleagues.
All in all, it was a great relief that we could finally celebrate the holidays in person after last year's cancellation. The cooking class was a fun and interactive experience, and the three-course menu was a delicious and festive addition to the evening. We can't wait to see what the party has in store for us next year!
